The Öksüt Gold Mine is a gold mining operation fully owned by the international mining corporation Centerra Gold Inc. The Öksüt Mine is located in the Kayseri province of south-central Türkiye, 290 km to the southeast of the capital city of Ankara and 45 km directly south of the city of Kayseri. In Öksüt Mine, we operate “open pit mining operations” in two separate pits named Keltepe and Güneytepe. Our operational method is heap leach. The ore extracted from the open pits is first crushed by jaw crushers and then cone crushers and screened to scale down to suitable sizes. Afterwards they go through heap leach and carbon-in-column processes to obtain dore gold.
Öksüt Gold Mine is one of the Turkish mining projects that were funded by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
